Larry Craig and David Vitter co-sponsor Marriage Protection Amendment

Toe Tapper and I pay for sex Vitter must protect us from those EVIL GAY PEOPLE.

http://pageoneq.com/news/2008/CraigVitte r_0627.html

Two United States Senators implicated in extramarital sexual activity have named themselves as co-sponsors of S. J. RES. 43, dubbed the Marriage Protection Amendment. If ratified, the bill would amend the United States Constitution to state that marriage "shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman."

Now remember Larry Craig IS NOT GAY

Section 2. Marriage in the United States shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman. Neither this Constitution, nor the constitution of any State, shall be construed to require that marriage or the legal incidents thereof be conferred upon any union other than the union of a man and a woman.'.

"With a Democratic controlled Congress it is unlikely the bill will be brought up for a vote in either the Senate or House of Representatives," PageOneQ says.

I truly do wish this was a snark. They want to make Gay Marriage another wedge issue. This is why it is important to have control of Senate and the House because if the Republicans were in control they could use these issues to create wedge issues. The Republicans won't go out without a fight. They are going to try, but the two naughty naughty boys just make this one laughable.

If we could somehow make sure that Craig and Vitter co-sponsored every single piece of legislation seeking to restrict single sex marriage, it would go a long way towards winning the battle for gay rights. Keep it up, guys!

Stranger than fiction (none / 0)

This is just ripe for a civil rights group to make an ad about these two knuckleheads.  It would work twofold... undermine the credibility of these guys even more and let the public know the types of people that push these "moral" amendments on us.  Shoot, it may even make people who might otherwise support such amendments think to themselves "Do I really want to be associated with these kinds of people?"  Who knows.

And so, may evil beware and may good dress warmly and eat lots of fresh vegetables.

Comedy Gold (2.00 / 2)

OK, but dressing up in adult diapers and poo'ing in your nappy, while the hookers spank you, THAT'S FAMILY VALUES!

In the Daily Show production room, the writers are fighting over who gets to write the bit on this one, even as we speak....

Both of my senators. Roberts and Brownback, the worst of both worlds.

This is not meant as a particularly mean comment, but I can't help myself...

I wonder what Craig's constituency at Minneapolis/St. Paul International thinks about this...

Paragons of virtue those two (none / 0)

They should both be authoring a Marriage Protection Amendment to protect THEIR wives from their let's say "extra-curricular activities" instead of this bigotry.

Re: Paragons of virtue those two (none / 0)

I'm just praying THE NEXT Republic thug that humilates his wife, and forces her to stand next to him while he does his "God has forgiven me, it's over, now leave my family alone..."

I would love the wife to just turn and kick him full blast in the crotch, dump the podum on him when he is rolling on the floor in pain, spit on him and walk out!

I PROMISE YOU, she would be a national celebrity, be booked on Oprah and the rest of the TV circuit, and her book would be a instant best seller!

Initially I thought this was a joke. It's real. It's unbelievable. I can't wait until Snow and Colbert get hold of this.
